FINALLY! After months of waiting the very first New York Mets Sport Crate is finally in-house and we’re showing it to you right here on Met Hot Corner.
The crate is available for a select number of MLB teams and lucky for us the Mets were one of them. You can subscribe monthly for $40 per month, or by the season for $180 and receive 5 crates. If you do go the season route, you will receive a Sports Crate only figure. Either subscription also comes with one free month of MLB TV, which is pretty cool if you are a huge baseball fan or an out-of-towner like myself.
Overall the crate was pretty cool. It came with the Noah Syndergaard figure, Travis d’Arnaud Mini Corn Hole game, NY Mets Raglan, Bring The Heat Pin, Six Can Cooler, Exclusive Topps Noah Syndergaard Baseball Card, and again, the FREE month of MLB TV.
The quality of the items is awesome and nothing feels or looks cheap. There is definitely more than $40 worth of merchandise in the box and is perfect for any Mets fan. I definitely expect the rarer items to become collector’s items in the very near future – especially the Syndergaard figure – and that alone may pay for the cost of the season subscription. I’ve already watched another Sports Crate unboxing on YouTube and noticed the baseball card he received had the hologram foil on it. The one I received did not, which tells me there could be even rarer cards out there exclusively to Sports Crate. We’re definitely looking forward to next month’s box and hope it’s even cooler than the first.
