The fall air is finally moving in and the hopes for some “serious October baseball” has faded. The images of ridicule have started to make their way onto social network pages. Orange and blue jerseys are being hung up, replaced by green and white with hopes of a Super Bowl title in the very near future. So is the life of a Mets fan.

Well, we knew this was supposed to happen. The Mets were fun to watch at times this year, our hopes were even up for a little bit there, but the end result is the same. The only thing I hold on to is the future.

Will Reyes be in uniform? Is Santana given the ball on opening day? Does Davis make it through the off season and re-establish himself as the first baseman of the future? Only time will tell, but I still have faith. Do you think a TRUE Mets fan ever gives up? Never.
